At Habitat for Humanity, we believe that every man, woman and child should have a safe place to live.
We believe that simple homes save lives. Families are healthier, children do better in school and parents have a chance to earn a stable income. Habitat advocates to improve access to affordable shelter and support funding models that enable families with limited resources make vital improvements to their homes. Get your school involved! We passionately believe in the power of young people to shape our future. Our creative and interactive programmes engage young people in our mission; providing an opportunity to serve and grow into active citizens who can make a real difference in our own community and around the world. Habitat has tailored global education tools for your class or facilitated workshops which can be delivered by Habitat staff. Schools can also partner with Habitat and send a global volunteer team, and individuals can join a Youth Build team, supporting longterm, grassroots, community development.
“Youth Build is an amazing opportunity to help make the world a better place, and for this I am so grateful to be a part of it.” Youth Build participant
“The entire experience has helped me to understand the work which Habitat for Humanity does, the need for more people to get involved with charity work, and the scale to which the current problems are affecting global communities all around the world and here in Ireland.” Programme participant
