The event organisers of the National Heritage Week are calling out for people interested in taking part in their training days.
The aim of National Heritage Week is to build awareness and education about our heritage, therefore trying to encourage preservation and conservation.
Run by the Heritage Council, it includes hundreds of local community organisations participating throughout the country. As many of the events are free to take part in and they highlight the abundance of great work that is carried out in all of the communities in Ireland to preserve and promote our natural, built and cultural heritage.
This year, they want to explore nearly 100 years of Heritage and take a journey back through one hundred years of Ireland and discover the past of those who came before us.
